Jose Pineda’s been doing just fine this year, even if his Tigers have come up short in a few close games.

The running back/slotback/receiver had one of his best games of the year on Friday in a wild 42-35 win over Rochester, running for 125 yards, catching three passes for 88 yards and scoring three touchdowns — including a crafty touchdown to end the first half and the game-winning score in the final 11 seconds.

Outside of the win, of course, his work on the field netted the speedy senior 38 points in the Lewis County Fantasy Football scoring system — good enough to lead the league in Week 7. Onalaska running back Ashton Haight, Winlock running back Bryce Cline, Mossyrock running back Torre Villanueva and Napavine quarterback Dawson Stanley all cracked 30 in another heavy week for fantasy statistics.
Week 7 Stars

It’s been a rebuilding year for Mossyrock, but Torre Villanueva — listed as a 5-foot-7, 165 pound running back and offensive lineman — has been a bright spot. In Friday’s loss to Winlock, the freshman ran for a whopping 269 yards (leading the Lewis County teams) with a touchdown for 32 points. In the same game Winlock sophomore Bryce Cline ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns for 32 points in his biggest game of the year. … Centralia fullback Dylan Purkey ran for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Rochester win (17 points), while Warrior running back Enrique Sanchez ran for 118 yards and a touchdown with five PATs (22 points). Rochester quarterback Bryce Lollar added 60 rushing yards, 53 passing yards and a touchdown, a conversion pass and a fumble recovery score for 18 points. … W.F. West’s 11-10 overtime win over Black Hills made for more than just an interesting score. Centralia lost to Black Hills in overtime, 26-20, in Week 5, which suggests this week’s Swamp Cup game will be closer than the teams’ records (Centralia’s 2-5 and W.F. West is 6-1) would indicate. On the field, though, there weren’t many fantasy points to be found for the Bearcats. Nole Wollan passed for 74 yards and a touchdown and ran for 52 yards (11 points), and Ka’imi Henry ran for 80 yards (8 points). … Napavine QB Dawson Stanley continues to put up big numbers, running for 96 yards and a touchdown and passing for 184 yards and two scores (30 points). Cole Van Wyck scored three times and ran for 47 yards (22 points), while Jordan Purvis had 83 receiving yards and a TD (14 points) and Noah Lantz had 59 yards and a score (11 points). … Pe Ell-Willapa Valley beat Ilwaco on the road, with Tyson Nissell running for 182 yards and a touchdown (24 points) and Peter Hamilton running for 156 yards and a score (15 points). … Onalaska’s Ashton Haight, once again, had a big game, running for 216 yards and two touchdowns (33 points), while teammate Lazaro Rodriguez had 101 yards, two scores and a conversion catch (24 points). … Morton-White Pass quarterback Kaleb Rashoff threw for 176 yards and a touchdown and ran for 62 yards and a score against Ony (29 points), while receiver Matt Poquette had a 73-yard touchdown for 13 points.
Waiver Wire

Rochester receiver Daniel May had a pair of big plays Friday night, throwing a touchdown pass on the game-opening trick play and catching a touchdown pass later on to finish with 12 fantasy points. … Centralia quarterback Kolby Baird passed for 132 yards and two touchdowns and, with his point-after kicking, finished with 19 points. Teammate Colby Sobolesky-Reynolds added 36 rushing yards and a touchdown (9 points), with Mason Titus grabbing a 44-yard touchdown catch and a conversion for 12 points. … Sophomore tight end Leandre Gaines scored the Bearcats’ only TD — and had 42 receiving yards — in the Black Hills win for 10 points. … Toledo’s Keyton Wallace ran for 91 yards (9 points) and teammate Colby Cherrington had 52 yards and a score for 11 points in a loss at Wahkiakum. … Adna freshman Ryan Young got a little varsity experience in the Pirates’ blowout of Chief Leschi, running for 127 yards and two touchdowns (24 points). Quarterback Conner Weed threw a touchdown pass and kicked four PATs for 8 points, while Chance Fay ran for 50 yards and a touchdown (11 points). … PWV’s Max Smith scored three touchdowns and ran for 64 yards (24 points) against Ilwaco.
