Thursday’s 2B Softball: Napavine Thumps Kalama 15-0

By The Chronicle
NAPAVINE — The Tigers were able to get half of their scheduled doubleheader completed before nature intervened here Thursday, beating Kalama 15-0 in a four-inning Central 2B League softball game.
Abbi Music pitched a complete game and struck out nine, while going 3 for 4 at the plate. Paxton Cooley went 3 for 3 and hit her first home run, and Ada Williams went 3 for 3 with a double.
Napavine (12-6, 12-5 league) is scheduled to complete the doubleheader on Monday in Napavine, though Kalama (3-14) will play Rainier to complete a separate game on Napavine’s field prior to the hosts’ game. If Napavine wins, it will tie Adna for third in the final C2BL standings, and a coin flip will determine seeding into the District 4 tournament.
