Wednesday’s College Volleyball: Blazers Fall to Clippers in Four

South Puget Sound traveled to Michael Smith Gymnasium on Wednesday in Centralia and left with a 3-1 win against the Blazers in a NWAC West Region volleyball match.
The Clippers won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-15. Centralia wouldn’t go away quietly and won the third set, 25-22. South Puget Sound regathered themselves and closed the match with a 25-19 fourth set win.
Centralia’s Olivia Mitten tallied 13 kills, Rachel Wilkerson had seven kills and Evy Elting and Madelynn Skinner each collected five kills. Skinner led the Blazers with 19 assists and 14 digs. Macey Martin chipped in 11 digs and Wilkerson also added 10 digs.
Centralia (8-29, 1-8) travels to Puyallup on Friday to take on Pierce in a West Region contest.
