Thursday’s Boys Soccer: Barragan’s Four Goals Helps United Cruise Past King’s Way

TOLEDO — United’s Gustavo Barragan scored four goals to help United defeat King’s Way Christian 6-0 in a 1A Trico League boys soccer game here on Thursday.
It took five minutes for the first goal as Barragan scored on an assist from Andreas Malunat. Two minutes later, Malunat scored on an assist from Dawson Hall. Leandro Belmok scored for United in the 28th minute on an assist from Nicholas Patching for a 3-0 lead at halftime.
It was all Barragan in the second half, scoring in the 48th minute on an assist from Isaac Garibay. Barragan added two more goals on a penalty kick in the 52nd minute and 71st minute to cap the victory.
United coach Horst Malunat commended the play of Patching in the middle, who helped set up the two PK goals for Barragan.
United (3-4-1, 3-1) is off until April 10, when the Toledo-Winlock squad travels to Castle Rock for a league game.
