State 2B Volleyball: Tigers Fall to Colfax in Quarterfinals

YAKIMA – The Napavine Tigers had their state title dreams dashed here on Thursday, falling to the Colfax Bulldogs 3-0 in the State 2B Volleyball tournament quarterfinals.
It was a close first set, but the Bulldogs won 25-20. Colfax won the next two sets 25-14 to complete the sweep.
Colfax won the 2015 state title, and lost in the quarterfinals last year to Mossyrock before finishing fifth.
Napavine faces Liberty (Spangle) at 9:45 a.m. on court four at the SunDome to begin play on Friday.

Napavine Dominates Opener Against Tonasket
YAKIMA – The Tigers started off the State 2B Volleyball tournament with a convincing 3-0 win against Tonasket here on Thursday.
Napavine dominated the first two sets 25-8, 25-9 and cruised in the third set 25-14 to earn the win.
