TOLEDO — The Tigers picked up a quick Central 2B League win here Monday, beating Toledo 25-15, 25-5, 25-10.
Mollie Olson had 12 kills, four aces and eight digs for the Tigers, while Ada Williams added four aces and nine assists. Melissa Lee contributed five kills and two block-kills, Olivia Woodrum chipped in six assists, and Sydney Purvis had three kills.
Ashley Dickinson and Maddie Thompson were each perfect from the service stripe for Napavine.
Toledo (3-10, 2-7 league) plays Morton-White Pass in Morton on Wednesday. Napavine (12-1, 8-1 league) hosts Wahkiakum on Wednesday.
Kalama Takes Down Ony in Three
KALAMA — The Chinooks put away Onalaska in three sets of Central 2B League volleyball play here Monday, 25-14, 25-22, 25-15.
Olivia Mitten led the Loggers with six kills and seven stuff-blocks and Phoebe Rich had five kills. Sophia Leal pitched in with 15 defensive plays and 8 of 8 serving, while Dakotah Fuller was 13 of 13 from the service line.
A few unforced errors put the Loggers in trouble in the first and third sets, coach Terri Dalsted said.
“We got those figured out in the second game,” she added, “but they just did a better job of putting the ball away and finding open holes, and that’s something we had trouble with.”
Onalaska (4-8, 4-5 league) hosts Pe Ell on Wednesday.
Ducks Beat Adna in Three
ADNA — Toutle Lake got the best of Adna here Monday night, putting away the Pirates 25-14, 25-23, 25-14 in a C2BL volleyball match.
A lack of consistency, highlighted by an 11-point run in the third game for the Ducks, was a problem for the Pirates, according to coach Wendie Dotson.
“If we can figure that out — how to side-out and stop the points — that will help us,” she said. “That’s kind of what we’ve been working on.”
Darian Humphrey had 14 digs and four kills for Adna, while setter Ruby Bower had 11 digs and played well defensively, Dotson said. Anna Jones added 13 digs at libero, and Adison Stewart chipped in nine kills.
Ellie Sliva, Dotson said, showed a lot of hustle in the match.
Adna (4-10, 3-7 league) has a bye on Wednesday, and will enter the District 4 2B Volleyball Tournament on Saturday at a site to be determined.
