Monday’s 2B Girls Soccer: Toledo Downs Winlock

WINLOCK — Ally Bacon scored twice for Toledo to lead the Indians to a 4-0 win over Winlock in a Central 2B League girls soccer game here Monday.
Bacon scored in the 30th minute for a 1-0 lead at halftime. Toledo’s Haleigh Holmes scored in the 45th minute on an assist from her sister Holmes. Maryssa Peters scored in the 48th minute and Holmes capped the scoring with her second of the game in the 55th minute on an assist from Alyssa Gaskill.
Toledo goalkeeper Meeghan Peters made 11 saves in the shutout win.
“The girls did really good. I think we had a good conversation on Friday about winning this game can keep us on a difficult but possible run to the district playoffs,” Toledo coach Noel Vasquez said. “The girls felt very motivated today. … We had good communication and were very excited to be there. The girls did not want to lose to Winlock.”
Toledo (4-5, 2-5 league) hosts Ocosta on Wednesday in a C2BL match. Winlock (3-5, 2-5 league) plays at Life Christian on Wednesday.

Swenson’s Hat Trick Propels Adna Past Onalaska
ONALASKA — Adna’s Cierra Swenson recorded a hat trick, leading the Pirates to a 6-0 win over Onalaska in a Central 2B League girls soccer match here on Monday.
Alyssa Dougherty had two goals and Ryan Stewart scored the other goal for the Pirates. Jordan Swenson, Payton Aselton and Rachel Burke all recorded assists.
Adna (7-1, 7-0 league) travels to Kalama on Wednesday for a league matchup.

Napavine Falls to Life Christian
TACOMA — Life Christian’s Alea Yun recorded a hat trick here on Monday, leading the Eagles to a 7-0 win over Napavine in a Central 2B League girls soccer match.
Tyler Taff and Amanda Hamel each had two goals for the Eagles.
Napavine (2-7, 2-5 league) hosts Onalaska Wednesday in a C2BL game.
