Thursday’s Boys Tennis: Centralia Defeats Black Hills

Centralia swept the singles matches against Black Hills en route to a 5-1 win in an Evergreen 2A Conference boys tennis match at Centralia on Thursday.
No. 1 singles player Zach Kaiser defeated Dayton McGuire, 6-3, 7-5. Josef Kilhoffer handled his match against Black Hills’ Kyle Lince, 6-3, 6-2, and Centralia’s Johan Lopez won handily over George Wickum, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Centralia’s Ben Corwin and Ryan Mack defeated Gunnar Nelson and Sam Whipple, 6-4, 6-4. Brandon Wilkerson and McKiernan Jones topped Black Hills’ Conleth Jackson and Ryan Cokl, 6-1, 6-1.
The Wolves lone win came from Jake Perry and Josh Kukas, taking down Parker Johnson and Alex Snideman, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.
“Great day for Tiger Tennis, really proud of them all the way down. Even the three set loss, our guys played real tough,” Centralia coach Keith Hopkins said.
Centralia is back on the court on Monday, hosting Tumwater in an EvCo match.
