Legion Baseball: I-5 Toyota Kicks Off Red Devil Classic With Win

I-5 Toyota started off the Red Devil Classic with a 7-3 win over the Renegades in senior legion baseball tournament action at Wheeler Field in Centralia on Thursday.
Broc Selstrom recorded all but one out for I-5 Toyota, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks while striking out six batters in the win. Alex Youckton came on and popped out the only batter he faced in the seventh.
Tyson Guerrero had two doubles and two runs and Drew Forgione had three hits, including two doubles for I-5 Toyota.
The Renegades and I-5 Toyota matched each other in the first inning as Nolan Wasson hit an RBI single to tie the game at one after one inning. I-5 Toyota added two runs in the second on an RBI double by Guerrero, as Guerrero scored on a wild pitch later in the inning for a 3-1 lead, but the Renegades evened the score in the top of the third with two runs.
I-5 plated two runs in the fourth to take the lead including an RBI single from Nole Wollan, and a two-RBI double from Forgione with the bases loaded in the fifth inning added some insurance for I-5 to cruise to the win.
I-5 Toyota is back in action today against Champion at 7 p.m. at Wheeler Field.
