Legion Baseball: I-5 Toyota Swings Past Thurston County

OLYMPIA — I-5 Toyota turned in two solid performances against Thurston County, sweeping the Bandits in Senior Legion baseball action here on Wednesday.
In Game 1, Brandon White threw a no-hitter, walking just one batter to ruin his perfect game in a 16-0 win over Thurston County in five innings.
White pitched five innings, striking out nine batters with a lone walk in the win.
I-5 Toyota racked up 17 hits in the win, including Joey Aliff going 3 for 3 with two doubles, two runs and four RBI’s. Nole Wollan had three hits, two runs and two RBI’s and Drew Forgione had three hits, two runs and an RBI.
I-5 Toyota blew the game open in the third inning with six runs for a 7-0 lead after three innings. I-5 Toyota added eight runs in the fifth inning to cap the win.
Game 2 was lower scoring with the same result, as I-5 Toyota won 6-2 to complete the sweep.
Jacob Cleary pitched all seven innings, allowing two earned runs and seven hits with seven strikeouts.
Tyson Guerrero had two hits and three RBI’s, Rob Wall had a double and two runs and Camden Bull had two hits and an RBI for I-5 Toyota.
The Bandits jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one inning. But I-5 Toyota answered back with four runs in the third inning to take the lead, and added two more insurance runs in the fifth to secure the victory.
“We played pretty well the last two days, got four league wins,” I-5 Toyota assistant coach Jake LeDuc said. “…We’ve talked about if we can score five or six a game, we should be able to beat most teams and we’ve done that the last four games.”
I-5 Toyota (12-10, 7-2 league) is back on the diamond on Sunday against Hawaii’s Legion team at Bearcat Stadium, with the game time yet to be determined.

Tuesday’s Results
I-5 Toyota Sweeps Doubleheader With Vancouver
VANCOUVER — I-5 Toyota got back into league play here on Tuesday, sweeping the Vancouver Mavericks in Senior Legion baseball action.
Game 1 was an 8-0 win for I-5 Toyota, collecting 14 hits in the victory.
Tyson Guerrero got the start and the win, allowing two hits and no runs while striking out nine batters.
At the plate, Nole Wollan had two hits including a double and an RBI. Rob Wall had three hits including a double and two runs and Max Miller had two hits, a run and an RBI.
I-5 Toyota got started in the second inning with two runs and added four more runs in the fifth inning to cap the win.
Game 2 had the same end result, earning a 5-1 win with 11 hits.
Dakota Hawkins pitched all seven innings for I-5 Toyota, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out one batter.
Guerrero had three hits with a run and an RBI and Wollan added two hits and two RBI’s.
I-5 Toyota again scored two runs to take a 2-0 lead. Vancouver cut into the lead with a run in the third, but I-5 Toyota scored runs in the fourth and fifth innings to wrap up the win.
