Tuesday’s 2B Softball: Napavine Earns Two Wins

OCOSTA — Napavine earned a win against Morton-White Pass in their first game, and followed it up with a win against Ocosta in the nightcap in 2B District 4 softball tournament action here on Tuesday.
Napavine defeated Morton-White Pass 7-2 in the opening game, as Abbi Music pitched a complete game in the win.
The win put the Tigers into the the double-elimination tournament against Ocosta, with Napavine winning 1-0 in a combined no-hitter for Ada Williams and Music.
The Tigers scored their lone run on a suicide squeeze. Ada Williams laid down the bunt, and Ocosta got the original out on Madi Thompson at home plate, but tried to throw out Williams at first base, allowing Music to score from second for the only run of the game.
Napavine will face Toutle Lake on Wednesday in the district semifinals at 6 p.m. at Borst Park in Centralia.
