College Softball: Lady Blazers Drop Four Games to SWOCC

COOS BAY — The Lady Blazers came up short in a four-game road trip here over the weekend, losing 12-6 and 14-8 on Saturday before falling 13-5 and 14-6 on Sunday to the fifth-ranked Lakers.

Sam Rolfe went 2 for 3 and homered for Centralia in Sunday’s opener, while Aubri Jimenez added two hits, with a double and an RBI. Southwestern Oregon, though, scored seven runs in the first inning and never trailed in the win.

The Blazers managed 10 hits in Sunday’s nightcap, with Sierra Seymour going 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.

Joni Lancaster had three hits and an RBI, and Keeley-Shea Salazar added two hits.

The Blazers (11-9) host Mt. Hood for a doubleheader on Saturday at Fort Borst Park.
