Wednesday’s 2A Softball: Rochester Earns Win Over Centralia

ROCHESTER — Rochester held Centralia to just two hits, as the Warriors cruised to a 6-0 win in an Evergreen 2A Conference softball game here on Wednesday.

Delaney Glazer pitched five innings for the Warriors, allowing one hit and no runs. Glazer was also 2 for 4 at the plate with a run.

Bella Phelps was 3 for 3 for the Warriors, including a solo home run in the first inning, and scored three runs.

Taylor Bailey and Courtney Leifer-Carlson had the only hits for Centralia.

Rochester led 1-0 after the first inning, and added two runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth to secure the victory.

The game was part of a doubleheader, with Game 2 rained out in the top of the fourth with Rochester leading 8-3. The time and date to resume the game have yet to be determined.

Rochester (6-5, 3-3 conference) hosts W.F. West on Friday in an EvCo matchup, while Centralia (3-5, 0-3 conference) is scheduled to face the Bearcats on Thursday in Chehalis in a conference game.
