CC Women: Umpqua Blows Past Lady Blazers

LONGVIEW — Centralia got off to a rough start and had no answer for Jordan Stotler.

Stotler scored 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds here Wednesday to lead Umpqua to a 94-57 win over the Lady Blazers in the Red Devil Holiday Classic women’s basketball tournament.

The 6-foot-4 freshman from Camas Valley, Ore., three steals and eight assists while shooting 10 of 20 from the field.

Umpqua held a 57-27 advantage on the glass, with a starting lineup that also included 6-1 Lily Eckert and 6-0 Bria Thames with 6-3 Dejanay Powell coming off the bench.

Thames added 10 points and 18 rebounds, while Bilbrew scored 19 points.

Umpqua led 24-6 after a quarter and 49-19 at halftime.

Kylie Smith scored 12 points with five rebounds to lead Centralia, with Courtney Kemble and Tianno Hanohano each chipping in 11.

Centralia will take on the Delena All-Stars — a team made up of former college players including Centralia assistant coach Kyahri Adams, Oregon State alum Mollee Schwegler Southern Oregon’s Carly Meister — at noon Thursday in the consolation semifinals of the eight-team tournament.
